In March 2015, we ran two surveys to better understand what our
users think about the IG Toolkit.
Thank you to everyone who participated.
What we learned:
From the surveys, users have asked us to
- make sure the language is balanced and reflects both the health and social care sectors
- provide more guidance and exemplars and ensure they are kept up-to-date
- introduce a more modern look and feel and features
- create a more tailored system, appropriate for different types of organisations

and survey 2 (smaller organisations).
Based on the recommendations, we will be releasing a number of changes at the end of September, including a trial model of assessment for independent contractors and care homes. This new assessment will be for consultation; all users will still submit their IG Toolkit assessment via the existing system.
