Personalised Health and Care 2020: a framework for action
published by the National Information Board, proposed that we should, by October 2015,
‘relaunch the Information Governance Toolkit to reflect enhanced information
governance and data security requirements.’ To support development of the new toolkit,
we have launched our 2nd survey to ask you what you think about the current toolkit,
what you like about it and how you think it might be improved.
This survey is aimed at colleagues working within the following:
- Any Qualified Providers - Clinical Services
- Any Qualified Providers - Non Clinical Services
- Commercial Third Parties
- Community Pharmacies/Dispensing Appliance Contractors
- Dental Practices
- Eye Care Services
- General Practices
- Hosted Secondary Use Teams/Projects (e.g. Public Health Team or Research Team)
- NHS Business Partners/Independent Treatment Centres
- Department of Health Arm’s Length Bodies
- Prison Health
- Secondary Use Organisations
- Voluntary Sector Organisations/Hospices
You can access the survey at https://consultations.infostandards.org/information-governance/igt2015. The

will help shape the development of the new look toolkit.
